They were also able to win the District Championship, Rollie Lane Invitational, and Minico Tournament that same year.
Collin was honored as the District III and 5A State Coach of the Year in 2007. Collin has been wrestling freestyle and Greco since he was 5 and is now in his 6th year as a club wrestling coach. Midget/Novice Coach: Eric Crespi In 1989 Eric Crespi wrestled for Centennial High School and won the A1 State Championship at the State Tournament in Moscow, Idaho. In July of 1989 Eric entered the Freestyle National Wrestling Championships in Waterloo, Iowa. For 5 days Eric wrestled against other state wrestling champions from every state in the Union and went on to win the prestigious title of a High School All American Wrestler by placing in the top 10 wrestlers in the United States.
As a youth Eric was one of the top wrestlers to come out of the Western Idaho kids program. Eric started wrestling when he was 6 years old with the Idaho Express wrestling club in Meridian. As a youth he loved the sport and excelled as he became more proficient. While a kid wrestler Eric won 16 Idaho State Championships (which included both freestyle and Greco Roman styles), and went on to win 10 National Freestyle wrestling championships. When Eric was 8 years old he won the Freestyle National Championships in Olympia, Washington. Later that year Eric traveled to Mexico City where he enter the 12 year old and under Wilfredio Masso International wrestling tournament. The tournament hosted all of Mexico, Latin America and the United States. Being only 8 years old Eric gave up 4 years of maturity yet he went on to place second in his weight division. Eric is one of the better wrestling tacticians to come out of the Northwest with his years of experience. As a coach he is excellent because of his experience starting as a youth in a sport that is often called a physical chest game.
Eric went on to wrestle at BSU and later in his career joined the Marine Corp and in his second year in the Corp he won the Marine tryout for their freestyle wrestling team. Unfortunately due to a death in the family Eric had to post pone his opportunity to pursue being a Marine Corp Wrestler.

Jon started for Boise State for two years in college and was 5th in the PAC 10 as a true freshman and 2nd in the Rocky Mountain Regional Olympic Trials before suffering a career ending back injury.
Before attending Boise State, Jon wrestled for Bruce Burnett at Meridian High School 1984 -1987. He is in his second year back helping out with the Freestyle program since his retirement from coaching in 2005. His philosophy since he began coaching the Patriots in 1996 has been “it’s not just about building champions; it’s about building better human beings”. He is married to Sarah and has three children, Bailey, Gable, and Joe. His goal is to help Collin and the Patriot program provide positive experiences for young wrestlers at Centennial and see his boys wrestle for Coach Robertson.
